About Verity Walsgrove

I love painting and I aim to create pieces that I hope people will enjoy having on their wall. One of my paintings may wake you up, calm you down, evoke memories of a place or holiday, feature your favourite foliage, intrigue you, or simply go with your colour scheme.
After years of training and working in water based mediums, I am currently enjoying working with resin, combined with inks, oil and texture to create contemporary and individual pieces with a high gloss finish.
Drawing inspiration from the shapes, colours and textures of the natural world, I veer towards the abstract and semi-abstract to interpret skies, land and seascapes that are fluid, uncluttered, expressive and very much open to the imagination of the viewer.
My acrylic ink paintings are often done using real shells and leaves (which are removed once dry) and, quite literally, the power of the sun.
Exhibiting regularly, I often open up my studio in Surrey to visitors, either by appointment or as part of the Surrey Artists Open Studios initiative. I also undertake commissions to meet requirements as to size, colour and style.
Please take a look around my website, and do get in touch if you have any queries. Feel free to pop into one of the exhibitions or contact me to come along to my studio in Surrey.
